OK - that's useful info. I was considering updating my old GarminNuvi for
a more up-to-date sat nav with traffic-avoidance, etc. When I saw the Nokia
offer I was wondering whether that was the way to go but your advice puts me
off somewhat.
I've just checked out the Nokia website and it mentions:
"The new Maps menu takes one click to calculate the best way to walk or
drive to your destination. "
Certainly the screenshot isn't the same interface as the one that came
with my phone.
I'll update my phone and see what its like.
I presume, also, that there is no live traffic information/diverted routeHope so because the paid for ones are riddled with inaccuracies.
facility with Ovi maps on the Nokia either?
I just wonder, however, whether Tom Tom, Garmin, etc will have to start
offering free map updates in order to compete with Nokia.
