The photo leaves me wondering why there is a need for the traffic cones and the POLICE ACCIDENT sign - were they anticipating a canal boat to suddenly appear at full speed steaming around the bend?
They're not worried about boats, far worse things than cars get left in canals for boats to run over. The sign will be so that every walker/runner, cyclist and angler with a mobile phone doesn't call 999.
