Mike P <mike_w_pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> gurgled happily, sounding much like
they were saying:
Unlikely. You can see far enough ahead on most motorways to avoid
literally hitting a queue.
Really? I don't think so. Twice I've been at the back of a queue
where a car has not seen it.
"hasn't seen it" doesn't mean it couldn't have been seen. It just means
they weren't looking. And if they weren't looking at the road, do you
really think they were going to have been looking at the signs and
acting on the information received?
Strangely, on the section the accident with the Corsa happened, it was
just above J15 on the M40, dead straight, clear dry day. Saying that,
there are plenty of curvy sections on the M40 and M6 (around J15) where
it's pretty twisty and it wouldn't be hard to come up on a queue of
traffic that surprises you, especially if you are not obeying the speed
limit..
ITYM "especially if you are not looking where the *** you're going".
I've never had a problem on any of those curvy sections even
_considerably_ above the limit.
