Doug may be many things but confrontational isn't one of them. Also
doug tend to stay on topic a lot more than a lot of people on usenet.
After all , what exactly has this thread got to do with driving?
I suggest you read up on Usenet charters ( do you know what they are ? ) and
ISPs' AUP and Ts&Cs.
I couldn't care less. I've been posting to usenet on and off since 91
and there've always been people like doug and unfortunately always
holier than thou types like you.
Actually I am normally very tolerant.
As Silk said, there are moderated
groups for people who insist on on topic posts the whole time.
I have nothing against the ocassional off-topic post ( preferably prefixed OT : )
aimed at getting a response from the regulars in the group to share an idea.
Doug's major mistake was inappropriate cross-posting. He seems to have stopped that
now I'm pleased to say.
