Conor (Conor <conor_turton@xxxxxxxxxxx>) gurgled happily, sounding much
like they were saying:

What about if you've got one of those cars where replacing a headlight
bulb involves dismantling the whole front of the car?

Like my Mondeo where it's two twisty clips and two pullout tabs taking
all of a minute?

Obviously not, then...

More like the Fiat Stilo that was on my mate's ramp the other week - that
was the thick end of an hour (and a broken clip or two) going in from
below with the wheel off, arch liner out. And that was the easiest bulb.
On the side without the AMM just behind the light.

I think the manufacturers have some responsibility here to make bulbs easier
to change. Ok, so we all know they make it tough to replace to rake in more
cash on repairs, but there is no doubt in my mind many run with faulty
lights for long periods because of the cost of repair or difficultly in
doing it themselves.

I just could not drive on one headlight. It would feel so strange and
extremely inconsiderate to anyone else about. What amazes me even more, is
the amount of cars I had on the M11 a few weeks back. 2am and must have been
at least 3 cars slowly closing on me in pitch darkness with one light out
and I swear they had the remaining light on mainbeam to compensate. Its bad
enough around town, but to drive on a motorway like that!!! They should be
clapped in irons. Where's ya bren gun when you need it, eh? :-)
