it's job beautifully. I hit the back of a car (yup, my fault) at
approximately 15 to 20mph. That may not sound much but before you

I was on the M25 in slow moving traffic, when the car behind hit my
car at around 20mph. The bang was loud and I actually had a
headache for a minute or two afterwards.

If all drivers could experience a slow collision, maybe that would
help safety.

One of those car seats that whizzes along and is abruptly stopped
would do the trick. Get them to try it strapped in. Then get the
likes of Brimstone to have another go not strapped in and have a
windscreen about three feet in front of where they'll stop and see
who's game?
Have you ever considered offering some intetlligent comment to a
serious discussionm?

I am. Provide it as an option for people. See how many take up the
offer to go through the screen. We wouldn't see too much of the hero
(stupid) "I don't need a belt, me. I'm too much of a man/woman for
that." I would imagine.
No one is saying that seatbelts should be physically removed from cars.
Only that it should not be compulsory to use them.

Should it also be not compulsory for doctors to treat drivers/passengers
who have been wilfully neglectful of their own personal safety?

Search me. I reckon we're opening another can of worms here. I suppose
it might make a difference according to whether it was wilfully
neglectful, or ordinarily neglectful.

BTW, hello Kev - you OK? I'm still looking forward to nipping over there
for a bit of driving tuition. :-)

Too busy fighting off the anti-police hoardes on uk.legal! I'm teaching my
grand-daughter to drive at the moment so busy busy!
