Intent to do what, exactly?
you indicate someone's intent to them? Can you read their minds?
I wouldn't do it unless you were the twat tailgating me. Do youIf I did it to you, you'd be the tailgating twat behind me.I'd be the one who wants to overtake, and you would be the twat who
keeps indicating that he wants to turn right just when I get a
chance to overtake.
usually tailgate people you want to overtake?
"indicating right" is therefore an acceptable... ie, the same as our
indicating left.
You've always said that's what you would do, not necessarily thatIf I was being tailgated in the left hand lane of a (UK) dual
it's right for everyone ;-)
If that is indeed the case, it would show how ignorant people are in
here.
If not, then, I am confused about your right hand indicator.
carriageway / motorway by someone either too lazy, too slow, too
braindead, or too ignorant to overtake, I would give several flashes
of my right indicator as a means of suggesting he overtake.
you mean.
It was always "several flashes". You know how to read, don't you?
Look back in the thread.
Then you would be risking a collision with someone who may NOT bow down toNot thatPrecisely!
I'd give a monkeys if I was passing you at the time. If you had a
right hand indicator on the motorway in the UK, I'd imagine you'd be
wanting
to pull out. It wouldn't mean I have to slam on my brakes or force a
move. No, you look first to see if safe to do so.
If not, just pass. Some people, especially London taxis, if they use indicators at all,
Right hand indicator means diddly squat. You don't have to let them
go :-)
use them to indicate right of way! Not if I'm to their right,
though.
your aggressive response.
It's not an aggressive response. It's a perfectly reasonable reaction
to one. But taxi drivers always bow down, since being off the road
for accident repairs costs them money.
