Im heading to southend on sea by car, never driven there before. I'm

from Streatham. Can anyone suggest any good routes to go and days times to
avoid ?
I don't know if you're a new driver or not, but when I started out
driving, I enjoyed just getting in a car and heading out to explore
towns and cities I'd never been to before, along motorways, back
roads, etc. Sometimes I took wrong turnings and ended up miles from
where I'd set out to go, and other times I ended up in traffic jams.
It all added to the novelty of the experience. One result of this was
that I had a fairly good knowledge of most of the main routes within a
few hours of home, which held me in good stead when I needed to make a
journey 'for real'.
If you're not sure of how to get to a place within 50 miles of home,
maybe you should do some more recreational driving.
I've been driving a while, but I have not really gone out to far as most of
what I do and where I go is all about 25 miles from home. But reading your
post made me wonder why I don't do that it sounds like fun just to go
wherever ands ee some nice places. As soon as the flood warnings disappear i
shall do that :)
I always fancied driving around strange places but never did get round to
it. Too caught up with the unimportant things in life. I'll give it a go and
it will help my knowledge of learning new places and getting outside of my
comfort zone, should open my eyes a bit.
Thanks for that! :)
