I suspect this episode amounted to six of one and half a dozen of the other. It's best to try to minimise these conflicts as attempts to teach somebody a lesson could prove very expensive. Remember the Kenneth Noye incident?

find some twit going way under the speed limit, I hold back, and see
if I can overtake.
Usually you find that these silly twits actually don't know how to handle a car - and you end up completely outclassing them with very little energy as they're usually all show and no go. This driver however, probably did know what he was doing, which makes his actions to other road users even more despicable purposely driving into someone. The case for the prosecution rests, m'lud.
The jury finds you guilty of being as bad as the twat that you're castigating.
Note that I believe holding your ground and someone driving into you is inherently different to you driving into someone else.Irrelevant. It still ends up in an insurance claim and a shitload of unnecessary hassle.
Your suspicions are wrong, as I did nothing wrong - having merely driven in my lane and sounded my horn when someone tried forcing me off the road and subsequently brake testing me. Therefore it amounts to twelve of one.
It's not *your* lane any more than it's anyone else's.
So you don't believe in lane discipline? No wonder there's so many crap drivers out there. And it would be my fault if someone tried to drive into me?
What next, if someone drives into the back of me because I had space to pull out of a junction, then I guess that would be my fault too. After all, it's not "my" spot on the road, it belongs to everyone.
Such a well reasoned argument.
