Coming home via Cardiff from a visit to Aberystwyth , i used the A48
through
Cardiff to Newport and strayed on to the A48(M) !!!.
I was riding my 125cc scooter on `L` plates and i thought i was on the A48
perfectly legal untill i saw a gantry marked `A48 (M)`...........so i got
off quick at the next exit...........
I have held a full car licence since 1973 so am not a newcomer to m`ways
and
driving, but that A48 caught me out.
What are the consequences, will i get a NIP if i was spotted on
surveillance
camera, or what????....
Anyone with ideas on the subject????...
Assuming the worst case and you were spotted then it sounds like driving
other than in accordance with your licence to me. Maximum fine of £1000,
discretionary ban and 3 to 6 points. If you weren't caught at the time and
were wearing a crash helmet you would be hard to identify, so I shouldn't
worry about it. Just don't make a habit of riding were you shouldn't in
future.
A bit old to learn on a motorcycle aren't you?
Ian
