You have the option of where you live and work. If you choose to
live in the country and work in town then you have to put with the
things that happen. If you don't like it *** off back in to town.

What people such as Westy never seem to realise is that the
countryside is not simply there to serve as a pleasant backdrop for
commuters while on their way to work- the countryside is a factory.
It is one gigantic food factory, and while driving in that factory
allowances have to be made for the factory machinery which services
it.

What people such as you and Brimstone never seem to realise is that
not everyone can afford to live a stones throw from where they work
with property prices being what they are today.

What about the fact thay you've in all probability pushed up the price of
property in the are that you've moved to? Presumably that hasn't ocurred to
you?

No you've lost me there - how the hell can I push up property price in
the city? The city of York actually? We may as well be specific.

All I have asked is
that the roads are not clogged up in rush hour - there is surely no
need for it yet it happens all the time.

It's not going to happen, learn to life with it or start saving.

I could live in the city Brimstone, albeit in a smaller house. But
what about the schools? I live where I do not solely for the
relatively cheaper housing but also for the better schools and also so
that my son can grow up in a nice place with fresh air and everything
else that goes with being out of town.

Go on say it - learn to live with it - that's all i'm going to get now
isn't it - now your record has stuck.
