through the cones and stopped. He must have missed me by inches.
So you could see that he wasn't going to stop, but you decided to
keep going anyway and just sit there and watch a crash that you
could have easily avoided, just because it was your 'right of way'?

Ok, so he was in the wrong for ignoring the give way, but you were a
hell of a lot more in the wrong for causing him to crash.

And there's me thinking it was just conor that went out of his way
to make lorry drivers look utter twats.

You've just managed to do that all on your own.

If the OP has stopped to let this pillock in how many rear-enders do
you think there would have been behind him?

Did you actually read the OP? He had anticipated the accident
happening from a long way back, yet continued to drive in a manner
that made the accident inevitable.
There was no need fro him to stop, there was no need for him to brake
sharply. He simply needed to ease back a fraction in order to allow a
small gap to open up.

I was joining a D/C on friday - I could see that if I carried on at the same
speed I'd get to the end of the slip road at the same time as a van in L1. I
backed off, he backed off, I backed off more, he backed off more - by the
time I'd got to the end of the slip road, we were both almost stationary.
Not the ideal situation.
