Heck, 12 miles/week is taxi territory. It'd cost about the same as insurance/tax/car will for the year for me - and I'm guessing insurance would cost a lot more for you.

To be honest I'll probably end up doing more. Also the thought of a scooter is quite interesting.. and I'd prefer the freedom of having my own transport.
