August 2004...you wont have gf entitlement then..sorry. What to look for is
the general condition - im not sure about specific models being prone to
specific faults. Have a look around on ebay. From what I've seen on car
sales the more honest sellers are one that tell of all a vehicles faults and
write a long description of the vehicle and provide plenty photos.
How long are you needing the scooter for? Whats the length of an MOT on a
scooter youre interested in?
Take a look around the scooter...has it been dropped, someone fallen off it
and scraped the fairing? If so, maybe you could live with it if its only
cosmetic damage...whats the tread on the tyres like? Will they need replaced
soon?...do the lights/indicators work? (some folk cant even be arsed to
change a bulb - hence there wont be much into maintaining the rest of the
bike).
