Pie in the sky. Private cars are used for general-purpose transport at
widely varied times. We are not airliner pilots. (Well, I'm not,
anyway)

You might as well say that a good driver would not compromise safety
by driving after a hard day at work, or when his tyres were anything
but brand new, or when the conditions might be foggy or icy.

There have to be acceptable limits.
