One Easter Monday a few years ago on the southbound M6 in the Preston
area I came across an idiot in a Volvo Estate who, having missed his
exit, was attempting a U-turn through a gap in the central reservation!
The idiot was stopped with his front bumper hanging into L3 northbound,
and his rear bumper and tow-bar into L3 southbound. The 'driver'
(complete with trilby) was waiting for a gap in three lanes of 70mph
traffic to complete the turn.
