At his age (like me) it would have been mk1 or mk2 Escort, Cortina, the odd
Capri, Opel Kadett, mk1 Astra, Ascona, Mini. Richer lads had mk1 XR2's, Opel
Mantas, R5 Turbos and XR3/XR3i's. Drug dealers had series 1 RS Turbos and
the odd Sierra Cossie. That's how it was around our way anyhow.
