You have cocked things up yet again.

Oh really well this is what you said :

"there is a mile long road with a 20mph limit, but with no humps, just
a 20mph sign and  a triggered flashing sign. It is 20mph as there are
3 schools down it."

So feel free to explain why you insist on traveling at 20-25 mph in a
20mph limit zone - particularly where there are three schools.

Fell free to explain which particular law I am breaking.
Let me tell you - none whatsoever, unlike the 80% of cars who overtake me
down there as there are no humps to force them to drive at 20mph like they
do in Hull.

Stopping distances for bicycles do not appear in the HC, unlike for cars and
so cannot be of any consequence. You are getting obsessed about something
that does not matter one jot.

Most cars can stop at a rate close to 1g (9.81m/s2). If the brakes on
a pushbike are effective enough to produce more than 0.5g you are
likely to be thrown over the handlebars (1). Bikes have very skinny
tyres compared with cars and bike brakes are very ineffective in wet
weather in my experience. Push bikes therefore have very much greater
stopping distances for a given speed than cars .
