True enough.

Do you attribute the falling pedestrian injury rate and falling motorist injury rate over the same period to the fact that more cyclists were wearing helmets?

That happens to be part of the basis used for some of Hewson's 2005 work to conclude that helemts haven't demonstarbly helped in the UK. And he tried quite hard to find any way the data showed otherwise.
