Yet another proof of Darwenism

Excellent - I do agree.

A CYCLIST freewheeled downhill at up to 30mph and died when he
collided with a pedestrian, an inquest heard.

Kevin Watts, 54, who was not wearing a helmet, went over his
handlebars and witnesses saw him land on his head in front of Boscombe
Pier.

He died from injuries including extensive skull fractures and multiple
rib fractures.

But of course as Ian Smith will claim - he probably died from
scratches to his legs rather than brain damage after the skull injury.

And of course don't forget that a helmet may have made things worse
:-)

At least the pedestrian was only slightly injured and the bike was
undamaged, according to the newspaper report!

According to the anti-helmet brigade, cyclists never go over the
handlebars, bang their heads on the ground and suffer fatal skull
fracture injuries as a result. Could they possibly be wrong?

I believe that if he had have been wearing a helmet, at worst the
cyclist might have suffered mild concussion in addition to the broken
ribs, which are painful but not usually life threatening.
