Those people who never admit to making misakes are only going to blame the other person anyway. But the fact still remains that if you do not drive cautiously when you ought to, you will end up having collisions, even though they are not "your fault".
You and I know that to be true, but you are forgetting the attitude of the person who never makes mistakes and therefore believes that no one else should either.
I know the type. There are plenty of them. Like the bus driver that hit the boy...
The bus driver made no mistake. He did the same thing on that occasion as he probably does several time a day without incident.
Q.E.D :-)
Perhaps not, but I think it is equally valid to bear in mind that somone else might make a mistake and a collision could occur. Who is/was at fault is of little comfort to the deceased's family or from a hospital bed.
Quite true, but you're still overlooking the attitude of those who never make mistakes. A result of that attitude is that they don't compensate for the mistakes of others.
And your point is?
That your habit of tarring everyone in a group of your own creation with the same brush is a habit to break.
And your problem with that is, exactly?
That stereo typing is something only morons and the stupid do.
If the idiot concerned had been on a lead he'd still be alive. The other children had to sense to realise that what they were doing had dangers and to proceed cautiously. They all managed to avoid the bus. The only person responsible for the collision was the one who insisted on demonstrating his athletic prowess.Like the bus driver and the boy who jumped the fence?Thank you for accepting that it was the boy who was at fault.
I do not think that I ever denied that the boy was at fault. It was a pretty dumb-ass thing to do. But equally so the bus driver was at fault for driving way to fast very close to pedestrians on the road while going through a pedestrian crossing. I tend to think that if there were not others in the road already, the boy may not have jumped the fence.
You have clearly demonstrated the boy did not have the sense to avoid the bus, therefore the only other person who could have avoided the collision was the driver. Or do you think children should be kept on leads? :-)
