Frankly I got slightly pissed off with other people saying that it was
endorsed by the Government - and being unable to support this
assertion.
I was in contact with the DfT on another matter and took the
opportunity to ask them if they endorsed the book or its content:
The reply from the Dft:
....... the DfT did not endorse the publication nor does it now. It
was written by a private individual with a cyclist's perspective.
The Stationery Office publishes private and commercial organisations'
books as well as government publications.
I hope this clarifies the position.
