I've done 10 miles in the last year is a tad under 35 minutes. Would I
be likely to make a complete fool of myself?

At least you will set a PB!

I don't know. If I do it in 36 minutes then I fail even to do that!
but the PB would be course specific, so if you hav enever done that course....
