I found bar end shifters the hardest thing to get used to so I was
asking if the OP found the same aspect of the Galaxy an issue but I
realise now it was a dreadful unwarranted intrusion, sorry.

If you'd actually replied to the OP rather than Tony, you'd have
probably avoided looking silly...

cheers,
clive

he is useing google groups.... which while useful is bit of a pig of a
interface. hence all the "this forum" stuff which comes up time to time.

I am , yes, should i do something else that would stop annoying
people?

i'm not aware that you are, or not. just pointing out that with google
groups it's not nessarly clear who's replying to who and such. which is
why i guess you replyed to Tony, rather than Nick the OP. and no dought
why Tony's reply was essentlly "what?" as you judging by your post you
had ment to reply to nick.

google groups makes, usenet look like a forum which it isn't. In a
newsreader it is clear who replyed to who, or not as case may be. in
google groups it isn't clear at all.

Anyone who says "stop posting" will be hunted down and shot.

Thanks Roger, I didn't know alternative versions of this forum
existed.

Ta.

as paul has said, it's not that, it's google groups that is the
alternative to usnet. and makes it look like a forum. where as it's
closer to email as such.
