results in motorists acting with more aggression towards cyclists in
general.


This is a very big assumption, pavement cycling makes car drivers more aggressive to bike riders. I can't prove it but I actually think the opposite is true. I think car drivers give more room to cyclists in central London and are more aggressive in the suburbs. Where as cyclists are more likely to break the law in central London.
