I think I do - I'll dig it out and send it to you. A tracklog is not
ideal for navigating by though - it tends to have far too many points,
and most GPS units will only allow a hundred or so at best, hence only
marking junctions for navigating purposes. And bear in mind our route
was not neccesarily the best or the most direct - we chose it because
it was pretty and quiet!

I understand but please do send your original tracklog if you can dig
it out. I'll use that as the basis of preparing a route using my GPS
software, i.e. I'll mark appropriate waypoints over the top and if I
decide to detour slightly from your route I'll mark different
waypoints elsewhere. Please send to my email as per this post. As
mentioned this will be a great help for me so that I can plan route in
GPS and not have to worry about relying on maps to speed up time.

You sent me a copy of the GPX file and I have been having a play but getting
nowhere - so can someone please advise me how to get this back to a format
that mapping software can understand.

Or to put it simpler how do I get the file to act as if I was downloading it
from my Garmin so that it can be used in either Anquet or Memory Map.

Sorry for being not good at this.

Thanks
Dave
