may not be a reasonable thing to do and is prepared to
challange such statements in court.
One would have to take your paraphrase in context. For example, I look many hundreds of yards ahead, and might see many people crossing in front of me, yet still safely move off.
I presume that as you're challenging the paraphrase then a collision might have occurred?
