Good stuff! A nice picture in daylight could be a candidate for the
Warrington FOTM.

Done:

3 pics of the west end. Note the tight exit into the carpark between
the parked cars.

A more aerial view. Those with a sense of scale will realise that to
get that view I needed to get quite high up in the air. That is where
the grey enclosure and a heavy duty traffic cone came in handy
(balancing on one foot on the top of the traffic cone with the camera
held above my head..)

The other end where the path stops just before the pavement and there
are no markings on the road itself.

I had a look at the distances and a wheelchair would fit through fine.
A loaded touring bike would just about be possible to balance round
there (there are raised eges to the path) but the tandem would be
rather difficult, as would a trailer. I might take my sons down with
the trailer on the back of the tandem.. and also raise questions of how
access can be gained for gritting, the camber of the path to prevent
ice forming in winter, the design speed for the bends and so on (hint -
no camber, and no intention to grit).

I just can't understand the thought process behind this sort of thing.
That is making a couple of possibly unwarranted assumptions.

"We'll divide the path and keep cyclists to one side. Then we'll put in
a barrier that forces them to cross to the other side. Better update
the Highway Code too, to make sure the ungrateful buggers use it."
