I'm just trying to balance out the views. As in this incident, and as always
when going on the roads, it's the other traffic you have to weigh up heavily
in the safety decision. They decided that it was okay to cycle, the car
driver thought it was okay to drive. Both sides were incorrect.
As sad as it all is, there are some anti-driver rants in here I disagree
with. Sometimes *** happens, and this appears to be one of those cases. If
anything, the police should have been responsible for trying to make safe
the ice (I'm presuming they visited the earlier accident that day) or at
least erecting a "Danger Ice" sign.
