I thought spin recovery had been taken of the basic test?
It has.
But it's very easy.
Standard spin recovery begins, "Apply full opposite rudder...", now if it is that easy, can you complete the rest of the procedure?
Just wondered like?
Why? He was right its easy. If you have enough height and any sort of clue a spin wont kill you.
Nicer to ease on the rudded and if it straightens out quick enough maybe never get to full opposite rudder. Then again thats nitpicking.

Er. Stick forward. as the rotation stops, center the rudder and gently pull out of the dive avoiding a second stall. Some general aviation aircraft will recover if the controls are released completely
Of course if it happens on final your last words traditionally are F*** but perhaps should be (if you have time. ¨Hang on I thought speed killed¨
.
