As a busman (as opposed to a bus driver), I do agree with you. IMMHO, PCV
drivers under 21 ought to be limited to minibuses, or at least "under 30
seats"
AFAICS, on a bendy, there is no "trailer" as such, as the front and back
halves are never seperated, the front half is useless without the back half,
and vice versa.
I need a "DE" licence to drive the VR with its cycle trailer around the New
Forest - not all our drivers have that licence, most have "D". My "E" bit
apparently stems from my original PSV (yes, P *S* V) licence being "all
types" as I took my test on a crash-box double deck Bristol FS.
Never took a test with a trailer in my life. But I've got the licence....
See http://www.dvla.gov.uk/drivers/vehicle_cat_desc.htm#Buses , look at the
"D" - it's "any bus", age 21, but then remember to see "Note 5"

Where can I get little black silhouettes of cyclists to stick along the side
of my bus under the cab window?
(only joking....!)
