I refer the honourable lady to the many E2E accounts of people going miles
out of their way whilst using OS (and other) maps. The trouble with maps is,
if you dont know where you are, they arent much help, and if you *think* you
know where you are (but dont) , or in what direction you are pointing (but
are wrong) , they are no help either :-)
There is also the fact its a "gadget" , often attractive to someone of the
bloke-persuasion.
