O/T Zone alarm

This might be of help to someone if you've suddenly and unexplainedly been
able to connect to the internet

Have been unable to connect ot Internet all of a sudden.
Thought it was my wireless connection at first but laptop connecting ok.

Finally did a system restore, everything ok again.
The I installed some Microsoft security updates and it wouldnt connect again
Did another system restore, all ok
Downloaded security updates again - no connection again
Did another system restore and reconnected, so did a google search and found

Impact : Sudden loss of internet access



Platforms Affected : ZoneAlarm Free, ZoneAlarm Pro, ZoneAlarm AntiVirus,
ZoneAlarm Anti-Spyware, and ZoneAlarm Security Suite
It then gives ways around the problem

It doesnt affect Vista, which is why I could connect via the laptop -
the desktop is Windows XP
