Re: Probs with marina's site

Hi Jane
Thanks. Yep I did what you say and still no success. Then went back and set
default levels and again no success. I really don't know what active x
controls are!
thanks
Inger

have you tryed going into internet options in tools in
explorer, security, custom level and enable active x controls ,check they
are enabled for signed active x controls, you can always reset the security
options back to defult level, that migh help.

I have added the web site to the List of Trusted or Restricted Sites - but
it still won't let me in. Really odd as I was in there last week.

Hi Paul

Yes I have just looked up in Microsoft and it is the patch - but I
haven't worked out what to do yet.
Thanks
Inger

I always get this window appearing, though IE doesn't close down. It's I
believe a result of a security patch, that detects old versions of
activex controls. I'm guessing, it could be the moving cat on the page
that's causing the problem.

Thanks - I did try but it will not let me in. That wretched box comes
up
with the ActiveX Control message. I don't even know what ActiveX
Control is
and it doesn't happen with any other site, and its never happened
before.
Been searching in Microsoft data to see if I can learn anything - but
nowt
yet. Hopefully someone will be able to make a suggestion.
Thanks
Inger

I have had no probs. Why don't you try going to your internet provider
and type in 'Marina's Competition page' and see what happens. It has
worked for me in the past.
Hope this helps.
