I don't actually have anything to do it in at the moment.

But in the Passt, I could drive like a twat, stop for coffee, get there
before the IS and still have spent less on fuel.

Thinking about it - the 156 has a mongbox and cruise, so I reckon it
would be safe bet for using less fuel, having enough time for coffee
stops and still getting there first, without me getting stressed.

Slushbox. Cruise. Climate. Comfort suspension. 55 profile tyres.

Just looking at my notes from this week - Hull-Bathgate via A66, 248miles, 4h53 non stop, 41.4mpg. Return journey I used more A1 and did 251 miles, 4h59, 41.0mpg.
