Hummm... I'm actually quite impressed with this one overall.

Goes very well, handles very well.

Not quite sure what Ford were thinking when they stuck strips of the
cheap and nasty vinyl to the seats in an apparent attempt to break
up the grey monotony.

A world better overall than the last shape Mondeos I've been looking
at of late in terms of general cabin quality and finish.

One thing I've been finding a bit disconcerting is it feels a lot
bigger than the Passat to drive?

I've put this down to the high dash / window sills etc.

The heated windscreen elements are a bit annoying, as I'm constantly
aware of them in my vision, and they're a bit of a distraction.

Oh, and whoever designed the controls so the stereo fingertip
controller is in a place that means between it and the rather portly
centre console, your left knee restricted for room, needs a kick up
the arse for ruining an otherwise good driving position.

Overall, not a bad car at all, and I'd consider one if looking for a
new car of this size right now.

i guess you mean the fat focus not the old skinny one?

Aye, the recent update one, at that.

i don't find
them that bad, driven a few now and all the engines seem good, i've
driven both petrol and diesel ones and they both drive ok.
i think the vauxhall astra looks better on the outside but i prefer
the focus inside. didn't find the radio controls a prob either and
i'm 6" 2

The Astra has PITA rear doors IME of having had the regular use of one, and
isn't as quick to pick up as this.

Not a bad car, but I'd actually consider buying one of these Focuses,
whereas I didn't mind that Astra I used to use but wouldn't have had one out
of choice.
