Having more success now. Someone bought me 'SUSE Linux 9.3 For Dummies' for
my birthday and it came with the OS on CD. I've installed that and I can
now get everything working properly (so it seems). I'm posting from KNode

Yesterday... ... There I bought a dark blue batik with gold flecks -- perfect for the "night sky" background of the wall hanging on the cover of "Adoration Quilts" I also bought several fat quarters that I think I can use for that project. ... After brunch with the kids and grandkids, I headed back to the LQS and bought a couple more pieces that I had looked at earlier. ... DH took me out for dinner last evening -- to the local Holiday Inn where you get a free steak dinner on your birthday:)... (rec.crafts.textiles.quilting)
