Im a student in a dilema of what is best: petrol or diesel.like what is
the torque, power, speed preformance and efficiency of a same 2 cars
one with a diesel cyrcle and the other with a otto cyrcle?
See Audi R10. What do you want form an engine and that will dictate what's
the "best" fuel. (I vote for methanol.)
I vote for a bit of that but 92 percent nitromethane.
Might not be as powerful as some, but as long as macdonalds is arround
we will have cows.
And the thought os "*** in the tank" being a source of propulsion
rather than the reason to call the AA sounds good to me.
I vote for LPG.
Currently lower cost than diesel or petrol per mile.
Easy to use domestic propane if the robbers stick an excessively high
tax on it.
I could do with a bit more weight over the rear wheels it's about
52/48 and could be 50/50 with a LPG tank.
A properly optimised engine for 100% use on LPG with a RON of 112, AKI
of104 will have higher compression ratio giving better efficiency,
lower fuel comsumption and more power. Or just take more boost;-)
without det.
At least I can get it now (may have to do a 4/5 mile drive out of my
way but I can get it).
It's not an accumulative poison like methanol.
Unlike petrol it contains no carcinogenic benzene.
Unlike diesel it won't kill bikers when spilt (well not unless they
are directly in the leak or until one drops a lit *** down a drain).
It's only at a moderate pressure while CNG is at over 10x pressure and
needs very heavy thick walled tanks, like oxy-acetylene bottles.
Cyro LNG is lighter as can be at atmospheric pressure so it's tank is
thin walled like a petrol tank but insulation is bulky and it vents
gas to keep cool (or uses gas to power cooler). You could run out of
fuel while parked.
Hydrogen is even heavier and bulky to install and gives lower range
Nitro is expensive.
