A mate's off to the ring this summer. He's got approx £700 IIRC to buy a
car to take with him. Best bet IMO is something like V6 Omega or a
Cosworth Scorpio, stripped out, so that all you have to sort is half
decent tyres, as brakes and go will be helped by the massive weight
loss. Any other ideas?
Rear wheel drive is a good idea, powerful is also good - those are long
long straights.
If you opted for something lighter then I'm with Carl and the mark one
MR2 idea. Just hope that it doesn't rain on the way there.
Get a sunroof model, and you'll be fine!! Or buy a tube of silicone
sealant :)
On a track? No thanks!!
Or a XR4x4.
