1. Your turbo (if it boosts at all) is now restrictive as buggery at max
power? It restrict what you can get hugely.
2. A big (BIG) turbo will make full boost at ANY rpm if you use nitrous
to produce the exhaust gas? And zero without it!
So basically any supercharger as part of a supercharger/turbocharger
combination will effectively be redundant if nitrous is installed?
I suppose the answer would be "yes, but only when you press the nitrous
button", right?

1. Superchargers (positive displacement ones) are uneffected.
2. Turbos are either restrictive and small but boost at sensible rpms or non
restrictive on the exhaust but will not boost until silly revs.
3. If you add nitrous the extra power "cant get out" with a small turbo, as
its blocking the exhaust up!
With or without nitrous more peak power can be had at the same boost level
with a bigger turbo.
4. even a hugely oversized turbo will give FULL boost from idle rpm upwards
if you add nitrous. ZERO lag. Because the nitrous gives you instant power
anyway, and in doing so spins up the turbo fast! Revs dont matter. Now you
are on boost which makes its own exhaust gas to drive the turbo. At this
point the boost is on, and you dont neccasarily need the nitrous.
A pressure switch set to just below full boost will turn off the nitrous
once its replaced/removed the lag for road use. An overide switch can keep
it on (at wot) if you want it! In both cases much more power will be seen
at the same boost levels and with the same amount of nitrous. But because
the exhaust is at lower pressure there is also less tendency for heat and
detonation problems. This allows even more boostor nitrous to be used before
detonation becomes the deciding factor.
However if the turbo is big enough for all out power (take no prisoners!) it
will never actually come on boost at all without the extra exhaust gas
provided by the nitrous. So for sensible road use you need to decide where
your priorities are! Me - im not sensible!
