I know. Terrible, isn't it. You have to second-guess what he actually
means. Trouble is, commenting on this gets you pilloried as a pedant in
the use of proper English.

I'm then glad to be a pedant about this. He's asking a favour of others
and it doesn't take any longer to type a clear to read post anyway.

Most people of the younger generations (shakes his head, being "only" 26) wouldnt consider it a problem requiring taking longer to re-write. Ive had official emails and letters with these shortenings in -arghh!
