Vibration due to it not being firmly attached may have damaged it, or
caused some wiring to shake loose. Make sure all connections into it are
firm and where it is connected to if firm too.
Why would you chip this type of van? Better fuel consumption?
For performance improvements, surely? Chipping anything turbocharged
usually improves flexibility, which can lead to a marginal improvement in
consumption (certainly, it isn't detrimental over normal driving) but ...
I'd say it was chipped to make it faster... :)
Post tuning unit and if you believe the specifications, the Saab's TiD is
making the same power at 1,900 rpm than it was at 2,300 rpm before the
surgery. On the road it is *much* more flexible.
Fair enough. Just thought chipping a fiat, and a fiat 'van', sounded a bit
weird at first. Surely it wouldn't do the already fiaty components much
good? I guess if it's getting punted in a while it wont matter. I don't
trust chips, pretty hard to find ones that have reviews going back quite a
few months.
I like the one on ebay of the wee boy kneeling beside a green car, it's a
resistor that apparently makes everything excellent.
Sounds pretty dodgy, but then again his feedback is pretty good.
