Or would I be compelled to change the registered keeper of the vehicle - wouldn't want to obviously, as by the time I got the car back it would apparently be a 3-owner vehicle, rather than '1 owner from new'...! ... They will be named on an insurance policy relating to that vehicle. ... The MoT state can be checked by the police without the cert, but it is a very good idea to give it to him if the MoT has been carried out recently - IME, it can take several weeks for the system the police use to register a new MoT. ...
