Is the carb progrssive? I.e, do the barrel open one after the other?
If so, you have to contrive to tune each separately, which might be fun.
If not, it's easier. You'll need access to a decent gas analyser.
FWIW, I'd do thr following: Disconnect the second barrel if it's
progressive. contrive to run the engine off-load at about 3000 rpm, and
adjust the flow adjuster for the primary barrel to get CO about 0.7%-0.9%.
Then you need to contrive to have the primary barrel shut and the secondary
producing 3000 rpm, and set it likewise. Reconnect the 2 barrels as
originally and test drive.
If it's not progressive, i.e. both open together, then start by winding both
adjusters in fully and then unwinding 'em a matching amount (try to get 'em
open the same) (or measure the protrusion of the adjusters, maybe), then run
at 3000 rpm as before and adjust both simlutaneously to get the right CO
figures.
Drop back to idle and tweak the vapouriser if necessary to get sensible gas
figures for passing the MOT.

Austin Shackles. www.ddol-las.net my opinions are just that
If all be true that I do think, There are five reasons we should drink;
Good wine, a friend, or being dry, Or lest we should be by and by;
Or any other reason why. - Henry Aldrich (1647 - 1710)
