Sorry to hear of your plight
have you come across sockets on french sites which are just the
traditional
continental two pin
Do I need to create one to use ?
a side point it would be useful to hear if you are using your own laptop
as
to how you are connecting with the net
have looked at a vodaphone dongle but it seems very expensive
cheers

Yes, out of 3 sites visited this year 2 have the old 2 pin version. So
advice is take also a 2 pin to CEE 3 converter (available from Towsure or
your local caravan accessory outlet) and also make sure you have a
Tester and a converter CEE to CEE socket/plug converter (you may have tomost
make one up) as most sites I have visited in France have reversed polarity
(as well as two-pin connections). IMHO it is the exception to find the
correct polarity. Further info if required.
As for Internet, I use the local library for internet connection, open
days and at Euro 2.30 per hour is most economical option. I have mylaptop
and make up email texts I want to send on my laptop in my caravan and then
take the floppy to the library who allow me to copy/paste the email text
from the floppy to the webmail email I want to send.
