I find this all quite strange, as I've been using very heavily, a
Sportster 533, a twin burner 424, and a lightweight lantern(all
Coleman dual fuel devices) exclusively on unleaded petrol for the last
10 years approx, with absolutely no problems whatsoever. In that time
I have replaced the 533 generator twice, and the 424 generator twice.
The lantern is still on it's original generator.

Personally, I'm convinced that as long as you use a filter filler
funnel every time, it's not cost effective to use anything other than
unleaded petrol!
