ROTFL!!!!!!!!
In article <46271dec$0$16279$88260bb3@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, Malcolm Stewart <malcolm_stewart@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> writesVisited the canal-side pond in lower Campbell Park, Milton Keynes yesterday
pm hoping to photograph the new season's ducklings etc. Mainly mallard and
a few coots on the pond, but the mallards seemed much more aggressive than
I've noted before. Drakes fought each other frequently, as did some
females, and I have a 16 frame 5fps sequence capturing how one female tried
hard, but unsuccessfully, to drown a very small duckling. (There were a few
larger ducklings around as well.) Whether it was her duckling, I don't know.
Just wondering whether the supply of food from passers by is no longer
enough for the increased duck population?
This behaviour is related to sex not food.

Some newsgroup contributors appear to have confused
the meaning of "discussion" with "digression".
