Wow... I could tie some great sea trout flies with some of those
feathers..!

Feathers from terns can be easily obtained at the end of the breeding
season, from reserves where they nest. Just ask the warden to pick up a
handful.

The Loon is more problematic. Your best bet is to try Canada or the USA,
where the Common (Great Northern) Loon nests commonly on lakes frequented by
anglers and others.
