House Sparrow Study by Kate Vincent

Kate e-mailed me last night. She has set up a website where you can read
about her 5 year study and download her thesis in pdf format.
She worked so hard on it that if there's any prize to be had I hope she's
considered. I've seen her sit outside my house in her little RSPB van for 3
hours, almost roasting to death in full sun, 27C temperatures, with her
binoculars trained on my nestboxes to see what the parents were bringing in
for the youngsters, and refusing to let me come out to bring her an iced
drink in case it disturbed the sparrows, and therefore her study. Now
that's dedication..
