Adding photo to post

I have recently taken a couple of photo's in Cyprus which I would like
to post on the newsgroup to help with the ID.
However as I have never added a photo to a newsgroup post before can
anyone advise how this is done and perhaps any good newsgroups or sites
which might help in asking for help in the ID of bird photographs.
